Privacy Policy

General data protection information

This privacy policy is aimed at the users of our website. It is intended to provide information about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by us, the controllers of iamfactory.de:

IAM Factory AG
(for details and contact see imprint)

We take data protection seriously and treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions, in particular the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

Because new technologies, the ongoing development of this website and updates to the legal basis may result in changes to this privacy policy, we recommend that you read the privacy policy again at regular intervals. (At the very end of the privacy policy, you can see when we last updated this text).

Definitions of the terms used here (e.g. “personal data” or “processing”) can be found in Art. 4 GDPR.

Basic information on the handling of your data

The following principles apply to our handling of your personal data:

  • We do not pass on your data to third parties. We deviate from this rule if we are required by law to pass on data. Further exceptions may arise for technical reasons due to the use of tools for anonymized company identification. You can find out why and to whom data is passed on and which data is affected below in the section Embedded content from other websites.
  • The rights of data subjects apply to all personal data collected by us, to which we would like to expressly draw your attention at this point and which are explained in detail further down on this page. (See section Rights you have to your data).

Which personal data we collect, how it is transmitted, for what purposes we collect it and how long we store it can be found in the following sections of this privacy policy.

Data transmission

The transmission of data to and from our website takes place exclusively by means of a secure, encrypted connection via the so-called “HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure” (HTTPS). This prevents third parties reading the data transmission from understanding the content, using it for their own purposes or falsifying it. You can recognize the use of such transport encryption by the lock symbol in the address line of your Internet browser.
However, we would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet can be subject to security vulnerabilities. It is therefore not possible to guarantee the protection of data against access by third parties.

Access data

The website provider (web host) collects data on all access to the website on our behalf and on the basis of our legitimate interest as the website operator and stores this data as so-called “server log files” on the website’s Internet server. The following data is logged:

  • Website visited
  • Date and time at the time of access
  • Amount of data sent
  • Source/reference from which you reached the page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used

We cannot assign this data to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources.

Our website provider stores server log files for a maximum of 60 days and then deletes them automatically. The data is stored for security reasons, e.g. to be able to investigate cases of misuse. If we have to retain data for legal reasons (e.g. for the purpose of preserving evidence), it is exempt from deletion until the incident has been finally clarified. There is a so-called “order processing contract” between our website provider based in Germany and us in accordance with Art. 28 ff. GDPR, which legally safeguards the data protection-compliant processing of your data.

Cookies

These websites do not use so-called “cookies” for advertising or tracking purposes. Such cookies are neither transferred from our server nor from the servers of third parties to the browsers of visitors.

However, a technically necessary cookie may be set, namely if you object to the use of a tool for anonymized company identification. (See section on embedded content from other websites.) According to the current legal situation, no consent is required from visitors before such a cookie is set. (See the BGH ruling from May 2020.)

Embedded content from other websites

We do not embed any of the known content (e.g. videos, maps) from other websites on our websites. However, we use a GDPR-compliant tool to identify companies that visit our pages, but you can object to its use. Details can be found in the following paragraphs.

SalesViewer

We use a tool for company identification on our websites. For this purpose, we use the services of SalesViewer GmbH, Huestraße 30, 44787 Bochum, Germany. As a German company, SalesViewer GmbH is itself subject to the strict regulations of the GDPR. With the help of a Javascript-based code implemented on this website, information about your visit is processed using pseudonymized data. This information is used exclusively for internal analysis and marketing purposes, in particular to identify companies that have visited our website (B2B lead generation).

SalesViewer works without cookies, without fingerprinting technologies and without storing personal data such as IP addresses. No identification of individual users or end devices takes place, but only a GDPR-compliant, company-related evaluation. The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest in a targeted approach to potential business customers.

If you still do not want your data to be collected by SalesViewer, you can object to the future collection by clicking on the following link: https://www.salesviewer.com/de/opt-out. This will place an opt-out cookie on your device that will prevent future collection by SalesViewer on this website. Further information on data protection at SalesViewer can be found at: https://www.salesviewer.com/de/plattform/datenschutz.

Interested parties who contact us

If you contact us using the contact options provided (e-mail address, telephone or fax number), we will store your details so that we can use them to process and respond to your inquiry.

Personal data within the meaning of this privacy policy could be your telephone number or your e-mail address. In addition, you may provide us with further personal data such as first and last names, postal addresses, your own websites, etc. as part of the exchange of information (e.g. as part of an e-mail signature you use).

We may store all this prospective customer data for up to two years for the purpose of maintaining contact and subsequent contact and will then delete it in any case without further action, unless you send us an informal request for deletion or correction of your personal data beforehand. (See also section Rights you have to your data).

Rights that you have to your data

As a data subject, you have the right to request information free of charge about what personal data has been stored about you. You also have the right to rectification of incorrect data and to restriction of processing or erasure of your personal data. If applicable, you may also assert your right to data portability. You also have the right to object to future processing of your data.

If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully in contradiction to this privacy policy or in principle within the meaning of the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, the Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Deletion and correction of data

Unless your request conflicts with a legal obligation to retain data (e.g. data retention or statutory retention obligations), you have the right to have your data erased. We will delete data stored by us if it is no longer required for its intended purpose and if there are no legal requirements for storage.
If we are not permitted to carry out such deletion because the data is required for permissible legal purposes, data processing will be restricted; in this case, we will block the data and not process it for purposes other than those prescribed by law.

The same applies to the correction of data that is not (or no longer) correct. You can request such a correction at any time.

Right of objection

Users of this website can exercise their right to object and object to the future processing of their personal data at any time.

If you wish to correct, block, delete or obtain information about the personal data stored about you, or if you have questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data, or if you wish to revoke your consent, you can send us your request informally in writing, electronically or verbally.

The quickest and most secure way to submit your application is to use the following e-mail address: datenschutz@iamfactory.de
